Foil and Target Changers

Foil Changer FS6
NEC foil changers feature replaceable foil/target holders and a foil holder access port. The Geneva drive provides accurate foil/target positioning. Magnetic coupling to the drive (no rotating vacuum seals) assure UHV compatibility.

The stainless steel belt of the FS6 foil changer holds 50 to 150 foil holders (up to 300 with optional double-density belt). NEC offers foil holders with aperture diameters of 9.5 mm to 19 mm.

The FS8 features foil changing motion perpendicular to the beam for applications where axial clearance (in the beam direction) is less than 5 cm.
