NEC personnel will be presenting two papers at the 15th International Conference on the Applications of Accelerators in Research and Industry (CAARI'98), Denton, Texas, November 4-7. These papers describe our 134 sample multi-cathode SNICS ion source and the results of in-field testing of NEC's newest AMS Pelletron accelerator systems.

At the Denton conference, there will be a Pelletron User's Meeting to be held on Thursday, November 5, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the third floor of the University Union in the Diamond Eagle Suite (note: this is a change from the originally reserved Golden Eagle Suite). Everyone is welcome.

At the Heavy Ion Accelerator Technology Conference held at Argonne National Laboratory, a paper was presented by NEC personnel describing the career of Raymond G. Herb. Preprints are available by request from NEC.
