Slits Slits
NEC all metal and ceramic slits offer manual or remote position
adjustment and position indication of individual slit elements. High resistance
to leakage current permits beam current readings from individual slit elements.
Stainless steel bellows and magnetically coupled drives for slit position adjustment eliminate moving vacuum seals. All NEC slits are equipped with solid tantalum or tantalum covered beam incident surfaces to reduce neutron production.
